All ages are welcome.
Please note: All students are tutored by appointment only. Additionally, a person 16 years of age or older must be present inside the building during the student's tutoring session.
Our tutors are trained to help students of any age and any learning style. In twice weekly 45 minute small group tutoring sessions, we will help you with your homework or help tutor you in a subject that you may feel you need some extra help. We have our own materials available (for those not working on school materials) and we assess your progress twice a year via pre and post testing. We utilize Options materials, TABE materials, and Wilson Reading materials as our main educational resources. To learn more about any of these educational materials, please visit their websites:

www.wilsonlanguage.com

We also use Individual Learning Plans to guide goals and sessions for each student. These serve as a communication tool between the tutor, the Learning Center Coordinator, the parent, the student, and/or the teacher about what the student worked on that day, the progress made, and ideas on what to work on in the future. For students who are in pre-K through 5th grade, we use a token program for incentives. Each token earned can be used to "buy" items in our "store."
We do operate on a sliding fee scale. Our monthly tutoring fees are nominal compared to most other places. In fact, the amount we charge for our services doesn't begin to cover our actual costs. However, if there are circumstances in which a parent/student is unable to pay the full amount, we do offer scholarship assistance. Please call us with your tutoring needs today!
